Chapter 699 Car Battle

Patrick's face changed when he heard the sound of the gun. He could block it with his spear, but it would show these two representatives that this city was not save.

'Damn it!'

His hand was about to move his metal spear when he noticed that there was already someone standing between the car and the direction of the bullet. That person moved his hand forward, cutting the bullet like it was nothing. Right after that, she caught the pieces and acted like nothing had happened.

Her action didn't surprise Patrick, but her appearance did. Well, she wore a normal orange shirt and black pants, but she wore a bright red bandana on her head. In addition, her braids were given ribbon at the end, making her look like a child.

"Rei, didn't I tell you that you're not allowed to go far away?"

"Big brother, I'm just playing with the ball."

Patrick turned his head around and tried his best to not think that his own daughter truly dressed like that. 'Kanae, please don't give me a heart attack like that.'

The two representatives ignored the two young teenagers not far from them while Jason was also holding back his laugh. This was the first time he saw Kanae acted like a kid. If only he was not doing an important job, he would take out his phone and make a video of her.

Afterwards, he would share them with Laura and watched them together. Yep, it would be really funny.

Though, he felt sure that Kanae might kill him afterwards.

"I feel that we heard something loud just now?" George asked with confusion.

"Is it not the advertisement board?" Jason pointed to the advertisement board in front of them. It was showing a new drink with a cowboy brand. Internally, he sighed in relief that the advertisement made use of the theme greatly.

"Oh."

"Let's take a look at the hotel first."

While they got into the car, Lou had apprehended the man who shot the gun. He took on his communication device. "Boss, I have taken care of him."

"Good," Kevin gave one word reply. He walked into his car with Kanae following behind him. She was holding a ball as if she was playing it just now while in truth, it was just a cover to allow her keep her sword and move around to many directions. Once they were in the car, Kanae took off the bandana on her head.

"I'm not wearing them again," She commented while taking the black T-shirt that she had prepared on the back.

"You're very suitable to act as a young kid."

Kanae glared at the man. He only suggested this disguise because she has a rather short height. Even though it was still considered rather normal, it was easy for people to think of her as a Junior High Student if she acted like one. After all, women usually grow taller faster compared to boys.

"We're going to follow after them using the car?" Kanae pointed at the car not far from them.

Kevin nodded his head. "Watch for any suspicious cars that follow after them."

"Yes."

The car started moving on the street. Kanae wondered if they would make their movement this fast since these two would stay in this city for a couple more days. While she was pondering, her eyes caught a car that seemed to be following after them.

"Kevin, I see two suspicious cars."

"State their plate number and let Lou take care of them."

"ABCD 123 and EFGH 456," Kanae replied as she looked at the two cars. Her brows creased when she noticed that someone came out from one of the car's window with a gun ready.

"Brother Jason, turn around!"

Jason received the call from Kanae and made a light knock on the window towards the driver at the front. The driver understood and immediately turned towards a different direction.

While they were getting away from the sight, the man was about to return inside when he saw a gun pointed at him from another car.

"Step on the brake!" he yelled.

BANG!

Kanae had lowered the side window. Using one of her hands, she aimed at the car and shot the tires. The first car started to lose control and Lou took control of the situation immediately. He made sure that they didn't create any ruckus in this place at all.

The other car was a dark blue panther. The driver suddenly stopped the car's movement and tried to speed up and chase after the limousine. It seemed that he realized he got found out.

"Kevin, he's going away."

"He's not," Kevin replied and changed the direction of the car right away. Stepping on the accelerator violently, the car sped up at high speed, evading the other cars while making its way to the dark blue panther car.

Kanae gripped the chair and put one of her hands before her. The speed at which Kevin went now was far beyond any car she had experienced before. Even though it was dangerous, her mind still thought about everything carefully as she focused her attention to the dark blue panther car.

Kevin changed the direction to the left, pressing the car.

"Hang on!"

With that, he turned the wheel and banged the car's front with the other party's back. The blue panther car tilted slightly and nearly crashed to the nearby car. However, the driver sped up the car once again and rushed to the way towards the mountains.

"Where did you learn how to drive like that?" Kanae asked as she prepared her gun. The sudden shake from Kevin didn't allow her to fire.

"Before I meet you," Kevin replied. He drifted the car to make a sharp turn before stomping on the gas pedal and chased after the dark blue panther. The roads towards the mountains were rather steep, which made it rather dangerous to go at high speed with ordinary cars. The possibility of making the car turnover was exceptionally high.

"You learn how to drive when you're still a kid?"

Kevin focused his attention on the street as he shook his head and corrected his words. "Before I meet you in High School."

"Ah."

They met when Kevin was already in second year of high school, so it was not impossible for the man to learn before that. However, Kanae still felt that it was rather scary to stay in the same car as Kevin when he was driving recklessly like this. Her eyes focused on the dark blue panther car as she opened the window again.

Pushing part of her body outside, she used both of her hands to aim the gun to the man.

BANG! PRANG!

The bullets reached the man's shoulder, making him nearly lose control of the car. He sped up even more and took a cover behind another car. This way, it would be harder for Kanae to shoot him.

Returning back to the car, Kanae frowned. "I really need my glasses."

"What did you hit?"

"I think it should be shoulder or hand, I'm not really sure," Kanae replied honestly.

"It's good enough."

The two cars continued their way as the number of other cars lessened greatly. The mountain path was not a famous place if they wanted to have a trip because most of the areas in this place belonged to either Wells Family or the government. Only several places were available for a trip.

"The road became even steeper," Kanae commented.

"Kanae, can you see any other car nearby?"

Kanae pushed herself out of the window to see the front. At that time, the dark blue panther car driver had opened the window and pointed a gun towards her. The position was rather awkward as he couldn't aim properly, but she was at a rather open position.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

"His aim sucks," Kanae had returned back into the car. Even though he couldn't do much with his arm, he was still trying to aim for her.

Kevin frowned. "The driver position is different with this car."

"Uh, normal cars should be on the right side in this city. Your car is the different one, Kevin," Kanae remarked.

Kevin didn't reply as he stomped on the gas again. He learnt how to drive using this car because his father bought him one from overseas. It never crossed his mind that the difference in the driver seat was because of the place where the car was made. He didn't have any problem with either seat, so he didn't pay much attention to them.

"Kanae, hold the wheel."

"What?" Kanae was stunned, but Kevin had taken out his gun and left the wheel alone. Kanae moved her body to take over for several seconds as Kevin prepared his gun by reloading it. He used his right hand to hold the wheel again as he took out his left hand with the gun.

BANG!

The shoot hit the back tires. As the dark blue panther driver was trying hard to make sure his car was on the track, Kanae placed her right hand out of the window with the gun in her palm.

BANG!

Both tires on the back were shot. The driver couldn't maintain the track as the car dived into the forest on the side.

BANG! BAM!

The car stopped when it crashed a tree.
